Things are much better together - including container handling in the port. Konecranes will therefore be presenting the entire range of forklift trucks, container handlers, reach stackers and mobile harbor cranes for the first time at the transport logistic 2019 from 4 to 7 June in Munich. At stand 220 in hall B4, crane and forklift experts will show how Reach Stacker and mobile harbor cranes work together to make the container terminal for combined cargo terminals in Moerdijk in the Netherlands more efficient and productive.

Container handling at freight terminals must be fast and efficient. "In particular, the transport on the ships and the further distribution of the containers must be perfectly coordinated," says Hans-Jürgen Haupt, General Manager at Konecranes Lifttrucks Germany. "That's why Konecranes Reach Stacker and Konecranes Gottwald mobile harbor cranes are working together at Combined Cargo Terminals (CCT) in Moerdijk, Holland, making the entire terminal process more productive." At transport logistic 2019, the world's leading trade fair for logistics and transport, from 4th to 7th On June 30th in Munich, Konecranes experts show for the first time at the common stand 220 in hall B4 the optimal interaction between mobile harbor cranes and reach stackers.

"In Moerdijk, our eco-efficient mobile harbor cranes load and unload containers on ships of various sizes," explains Hans-Jürgen Schneider, Regional Sales Manager Harbor Cranes at Konecranes. The mobile harbor cranes are ideal for the U-shaped terminal, as they can be moved quickly across the entire site, thus increasing the productivity of the entire system. "The cranes have a maximum payload of 100 tonnes, a maximum radius of 51 meters Delete up to 60 empty containers per hour on an inland vessel.

The 12 SMV 4531 TC5 reach stackers from Konecranes Lifttrucks then take over the containers, which can be up to 45 feet (13.4 meters) long. The high-performance stackers bring their cargo quickly and safely from place to place at the terminal, stack the containers in the temporary storage facility or drive them ready for loading to the waiting mobile crane. "With our reach stackers and mobile harbor cranes, we have developed a holistic concept for CCT that has proven itself very well for several years," emphasizes Hans-Jürgen Haupt. "We are looking forward to appearing together at the transport logistic in Munich this year for the first time and presenting the project in Moerdijk and our customized solutions for heavy duty forklift trucks and mobile harbor cranes to trade visitors."
