by Hans Diederichs

With immediate effect Messe  Düsseldorf GmbH will  act  as  organiser  of Saw EXPO, the  special-interest trade  fair  for  the  sawing  sector,  to  be held  in Friedrichshafen every  two  years.  “With  this  move  Messe Düsseldorf  will  take  over  the  trade  fair  for sawing  and industrial cutting  as  manufacturing  technologies,  which  perfectly  fits  in  with the  growing Metals  and  Flow  Technologies portfolio,”  delights Friedrich-Georg   Kehrer,   Global   Portfolio   Director at Messe Düsseldorf. From 8to 11June2021 Saw EXPO will be held in Friedrichshafen for   the   first   time.   “This   is   an   ideal   destination   since   many producers come from the South of Germany and the neighbouring countries of Switzerland,   Austria   and Italy,” explains Daniel Ryfisch,  Deputy  Director of  the Global  Portfolio  Metals  and  Flow Technologies who is responsible for holding Saw EXPO. The  Lake  Constance  region  is  one  of  Europe’s  most  innovative economic regions–this is where SMEs work alongside traditional family-owned businesses, rubbing shoulders with global players in the world economy. Stefan  Motte(initiator and owner  of  the  portals “Sägebörse” and “Sägemanagement”) deliberately cooperates  with  the  trade  fair organisers  from  the  Rhine  as  they  can  look  back  on 70 years  of successful  exhibitions  bot hat  home  and  abroad.  In Stefan  Motte the Düsseldorf organisers have a proven expert by their side who boasts several years of expertise in the saw sector under his belt and who will  continue  supporting Saw  EXPO with  his know-how and thorough knowledge of this industry.

In even  years  Saw  EXPO  will  always  be  held  as  part  of Tube Düsseldorf in  Düsseldorf  from 2020.  It  will  be  organised  as  a special  pavilion for  sawing  and cutting in  Hall 6 of the Düsseldorf exhibition centre. For  autumn2020 the first  spin-off  is  already  scheduled  to feature as part of Tube China 2020 in Shanghai. Sawing, slitting and  industrial  cutting  are  indispensable  to  many manufacturing processes, but they play  an  especially  prominent role in tube technology. Tubes of various materials such as steel, aluminium, iron   and   non-ferrous metals,   plastics,   wood   and composites  are  sized  this  way  and  adapted  to  various  industrial applications. At Saw  EXPO  in June2021 in  Friedrichshafen organisers  expect manufacturers   of   sawing   machines   and alternative cutting technologies,   sawing   tools,   trowel equipment,   deburring   tool suppliers and producers  of  accessories and  consumables.  The ranges on display are complemented by peripheral machinery and systems  as  well  as  service  providers,  saw  jobbers, second-hand machinery,  associations,  publishing houses  and the  science  and research arena. On  the  visitor side the  trade  fair  addresses  the  users  of  sawing and cutting processes–regional, national and international. These come  from  metal  working,  metal  processing,  steel  trade,  from mechanical     engineering,     automotive,     the     chemical     and pharmaceutical   industries,   the   pipe   industry,   from   recycling, fenestration and from warehousing and logistics companies.
