New exclusive format at Moulding Expo 2021

Moulding Expo 2021 will offer a new highlight: The Road of Tooling Innovation. Without barriers and stand limits, tool makers, together with manufacturers of injection moulding machines, peripheral equipment and materials, will showcase state-of-the-art production concepts in action in the middle of the trade fair hall. "Along the Road of Tooling Innovation, we will show everything that's possible," explains VDWF (Association of German Tool and Mould Makers) President Prof. Thomas Seul, in his function as promotional and technical supporter of the trade fair. The exclusive offer is being well received in the sector: Renowned companies such as Braunform GmbH, Georg Kaufmann Formenbau AG, Haidlmair GmbH, Werkzeugbau Siegfried Hofmann GmbH and Zahoransky Automation & Moulds GmbH have already announced that they will submit a concept. Application via the call for concepts is still possible until 15 November 2020.

"The Road of Tooling Innovation will be the Sunset Strip of Moulding Expo and give the visitors a completely new trade fair experience – because here things will be moving, because there will really be something to see. For this exclusive pavilion, we want to engage international tool making champions and their technology partners who, with their innovative power and quality claims, represent the strength of the sector," explains Florian Niethammer, Project Manager for Moulding Expo at Messe Stuttgart. The Road of Tooling Innovation will convey to visitors the production efficiency of tools and how they are used in manufacture. Altogether, Messe Stuttgart is looking for international tool making champions to present themselves here in a prominent position with their partners. A maximum of ten projects will be presented.

Thomas Seul's enthusiasm for the Road of Tooling Innovation is noticeable. "Our engineers' hearts open up when we can see and touch something," explains the President of the VDWF. "So if I can show a tool in operation, it is no longer just a piece of dead metal. We therefore want to present tool making in a way that can be experienced live, accompanied by the expertise of the exhibitors. Wit the Road of Tooling Innovation, the overall solutions that we will need in future in tool making can be highlighted in a convincing manner."
