Preparations for EUROGUSS 2022 are in full swing

The preparations for EUROGUSS 2022, which will take place from 18 to 20 January 2022 in the Exhibition Centre Nuremberg, are in full swing. As the central European meeting place for the die-casting industry, the trade fair provides impetus for the whole sector and is an important platform for the exchange of specialist knowledge and innovations. The registration phase for exhibitors is already underway and companies will benefit from an early-booking discount until 31.10.2020. In addition, the congress format "Forum Foundry Industry" will be launched in November 2020 to provide companies in the sector with tips and assistance at short notice for ways out of the current crisis.

For the coming EUROGUSS 2022, the organizer NürnbergMesse is again planning four halls and a comprehensive supporting program. Numerous competitions, as well as special areas and pavilions, reflect the diversity and excellence of the die-casting industry. Topics such as additive manufacturing, the influence of the micro-mobility trend, but also the continued influence of e-mobility on the die-casting industry are already emerging as focal points for 2022. Motorized vehicles in micro format such as e-bikes, pedelecs or scooters are booming, not least against the backdrop of changing leisure time behavior in post-corona times. And e-car registrations have also risen noticeably recently, to over 15,000 new registrations in July 2020.
Success and future concepts as topics

"EUROGUSS 2022 is clearly a set date in the industry and addresses all die casting foundries, their suppliers and of course all buyers of die castings. The next edition of the trade fair in January 2022 comes at a particularly exciting time when it will be possible to learn from the crisis in retrospect and, above all, to look forward together again. Success and future concepts will be important topics at EUROGUSS 2022," says Christopher Boss, Director and International Product Manager EUROGUSS at NürnbergMesse, giving an outlook and emphasizing: "This also applies to the EUROGUSS format itself: We are looking closely at which additional online offers will enrich and sensibly supplement the exhibition on site. With our online portal SPOTLIGHTMETAL, launched in 2018, we have a very good starting point for this".

At the beginning of the year, before the outbreak of the Corona Pandemic, EUROGUSS 2020 could still take place under familiar conditions. The European summit meeting of the die casting industry in January attracted 758 exhibitors and around 15,000 trade visitors to the four exhibition halls. Over half of the exhibitors came from abroad. The majority of the international EUROGUSS participants traditionally come from Europe.

Forum offers "Impulses from the crisis

In order to stay in touch, especially in these turbulent times, and to support the die casting industry on its way to economic recovery and reorientation, the first Foundry Industry Forum will be held this year on November 4 and 5, 2020. The top-class decision-makers' event is limited to around 100 participants and is organized under the umbrella of the online platform Spotlightmetal, a joint venture of NürnbergMesse and Vogel Communications Group. Under the motto "Impulses from the crisis", the event will focus on current challenges, approaches to solutions for innovations and opportunities. Franz-Josef Wöstmann (Head of the Department for Early Technology Detection and Recycling, Fraunhofer Institute for Manufacturing Engineering and Applied Materials Research) will be the technical director of the Foundry Industry Forum.
