Digital Suite as central platform for networked customer solutions

Schuler, one of the leading press and line manufacturers, is accelerating the digitalisation of its product portfolio as a productivity driver on the customer side. With the "Digital Suite", the Göppingen-based technology group presented the first virtual product platform on 8 February 2020, where users can check, configure and order the complete range of existing and new digital Schuler solutions for forming technology.

Via the Digital Suite, customers and interested parties also have direct access to Schuler product experts with whom they can discuss specific application cases and request further detailed information. Rohitashwa Pant, Chief Digital Officer (CDO) at Schuler, explained: "Our claim is that every product in the Digital Suite can fundamentally contribute to reducing unit costs on the customer side and increasing the efficiency of machines and lines. Through the use of open interfaces and standard technologies, our products are easy to integrate into customers' IT networks.  The fact that we are now making our networked solutions available bundled on a virtual platform shows that the importance of digitalisation in metalforming technology is constantly increasing and that Schuler is taking a leading role in this."

The products in the Digital Suite include Schuler Connect as a virtual service system for troubleshooting without on-site technicians, improved track and trace solutions for continuous monitoring of the performance of components in a press, and "Visual Die Protection", which uses artificial intelligence to detect and eliminate impending causes of damage when using dies at an early stage.
