Spanflug: CNC turned parts now also in large quantities

The Spanflug production platform now offers the possibility of ordering turned parts immediately and simply online, even for large series of up to 200,000 pieces - previously this was limited to 1,000 parts. The key technology of the Munich-based start-up is an algorithm that evaluates extraordinarily complex turned and milled parts in a few seconds with regard to their manufacturability and calculates a precise, market-driven price at which customers can order directly.
"The development of our algorithm is a continuous process. In recent years, we have optimized and refined it on the basis of more than 60,000 components," explains Managing Director and co-founder Dr. Markus Westermeier. "As a result, we can now offer reliable and market-driven prices for turned parts even for large quantities."
Spanflug offers two ways to obtain precise quoted prices quickly and easily: On the one hand, the online shop offers the possibility of obtaining an immediate price for individual CNC components in 40 materials and with 20 post-treatments and ordering them directly. This automated process was previously only available for orders of up to 1,000 units. The range has now been significantly expanded: turned parts with a diameter of up to 36 mm are available up to 200,000 pieces, turned parts with a diameter of up to 65 mm can be ordered up to 50,000 pieces and turned and milled parts up to 20,000 pieces. On the other hand, for quantities of more than 1,000 units, customers can start a digital tender and receive individual offers within 48 hours.
