PTC ASIA, the leading tradeshow in Asia for power transmission and fluid technology, runs again from 23 to 26 October 2019 in the Shanghai New International Expo Center (SNIEC). The event covers a display area of 100,000 square meters and features the exhibit categories electrical and mechanical drives, fluid technology, ball bearings, and motors and engines as well as industrial supply and services. Focal points include smart manufacturing and the modernization of China’s industry.

More than 1,500 companies exhibit at PTC ASIA, including well-known names such as Argo-Hytos, Atos, Bonfiglioli, Dichtomatik, Hansa-Flex, Hawe, Hydac, Megadyne, Schaeffler and SKF. China, Germany, Italy and Korea contribute country pavilions. Conferences and special displays round out the program. The Factory Business Conference and a buyer’s delegation are new.

At ComVac ASIA, roughly 225 exhibiting companies on 19,000 square meters present compressors and the related devices, parts and lubricants as well as vacuum pumps and corresponding accessories, valves and calibration and measurement devices.

“The SNIEC exhibition centre is bursting at the seams. This year, we must open two temporary halls to meet the space requirements,” says Krister Sandvoss, Global Director at Deutsche Messe. “This shows the enormous importance of our industrial fairs in Shanghai, where visitors experience first-hand how China is changing from a low-cost production location to a high-tech country. In addition, the supporting program provides various educational and networking opportunities.”

“China is an important sales market for the German mechanical and plant engineering industry, in particular for the important supplier industries of drive technology and fluid technology,” says Peter-Michael Synek, Deputy Managing Director of the Fluid Technology Association within the German Mechanical Engineering Industry Association (VDMA). “PTC ASIA offers companies an excellent platform for maintaining business relationships, supporting existing business partners and winning new customers. The trade fair is also a good opportunity for the VDMA to identify trends and new developments in the Chinese market. The ‘Smart Manufacturing’ forum, which the VDMA organizing for the fifth time, is a tried and tested opportunity to present cutting-edge technology ‘Made in Germany’ to visitors.”

For the first time, the Factory Business Conference Shanghai will run parallel to PTC ASIA with 400 Japanese companies from sectors such as automation, electrical engineering, energy, new materials, robotics, lean production and environmental protection. The program consists of an exhibition as well as forums, factory tours and matchmaking activities that strengthen the exchange between Japanese and Chinese manufacturers.

The German  Association for Supply Chain Management, Procurement and Logistics (BME) – the professional association for buyers, supply chain managers and logisticians in Germany and continental Europe – is leading a delegation of buyers to PTC ASIA and organizing a half-day forum that includes a keynote speech and panel discussion on the first day of the fair.

The new Bearing Expo Pavilion enhances the second Bearing Expo & Conference, which is a venue for personal discussions between ball bearing manufacturers and relevant dealers, users and solution providers.

Hannover Milano Fairs Shanghai, the joint subsidiary of Deutsche Messe AG and Fiera Milano, stages PTC ASIA and ComVac ASIA parallel to CeMAT ASIA. The company expects more than 100,000 visitors at the tradeshow trio.
